I can't believe that it's been almost TWO months since I've written a blog post. Thank goodness this is not a reflection of my "real" writing - I've been busily working on a manuscript geared to 5th, 6th, and 7th grade boys. I'm having fun with the characters, and I'm hoping that this will turn into a series.

Hey girlfriend <>. Life's like that, isn't it? It just seems to fly by. I'm super excited because I'm about to query newest YA -- THE LION AWAKENS. It involves two 17-year-olds (also a love story), a parallel universe, good guys, bad guys, secrets, tons of symbolism and super abilities like mind control and telekinesis. I think I've definitely grown as a writer. I'm better at integrating backstory and pulling all of the threads (and there are many in this story)together. So I'm way excited but also scared. Had my share of rejections and beginning to wonder if I have any talent at all. Anyway, your middle grade sounds like it will be a lot of fun. You go girl! Knock em dead. I so admire your tenacity.
Hey Buffy! Thanks for stopping by. I've been bad, bad, bad about stopping here myself. I can't believe how busy my summer has been! Where are the lazy days of summer? Certainly not in my house.
Good luck with your YA. I'm way too young (hee hee) to write YA. I need to have my muses (musi?) the age of my main characters. Right now, they're 11 and 9.5!
